David is a NextGen Arts Professional Development Grant Awardee. He has served as Managing Director of Watts Village Theater Company and The Industry. As General Manager of The Industry’s INVISIBLE CITIES; the music was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for Music citation, the documentary, produced by KCET, garnered an LA Area EMMY for Entertainment Broadcasting, and the creators received four LA Ovation Award nominations. In 2014, he produced L.A. Dance Project’s inaugural production at the 1,600 seat Theatre at Ace Hotel Downtown LA. David founded Chocolate City, a showcase connecting performers and writers of color from institutions across Southern California to Hollywood Industry agents, managers and casting directors. David has served as Chairman of LA County Supervisor Mark-Ridley Thomas’ Empowerment Congress Arts & Culture Committee, Board Secretary and Education Chair of the Watts Neighborhood Council, Board member of Mutineer Theatre Company, Steering Committee member of Arts for LA, member of the LA Producer’s League Transitional Committee, and Board Member of the LA Producer’s League for Large Theaters.
