Heidi Duckler was joined once again by her core company dancers, Raymond Ejiofor, Lenin Fernandez, Jillian Meyers and Kiel Moton, visual designer, Mimi Haddon, and composer, percussionist and multimedia artist, Andrea Centazzo, to collaborate on the Back in Circulation series. The West Hollywood Library is among the most impressive pieces of public architecture in Southern California. The library includes long expanses of floor-to-ceiling glass windows that look out over the major Los Angeles thoroughfare, San Vicente Boulevard, and across to the iconic, Pacific Design Center. Duckler’s choreography focused on the vast windows of the library as symbolic thresholds for sharing information, as well as containers of public space. Duckler activated the West Hollywood site by exploring contemporary questions of knowledge and understanding through movement.
