As part of our Outpost: A Sign of the Times project, Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre will be hosting two community workshops for the Antelope Valley.

Our first workshop, Visioning Our Community happens this Sunday, April 17 from 2-4pm. Anyone in the Antelope Valley interested in branding and beautifying the Shaw Building (9657 E Avenue Q-10, Sun Village CA 93543) as a community center is welcome to attend and participate.

The workshop will be led by Holly Hampton of the design firm Sussman/Prejza and Tom Kracauer of Clockshop. Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre is excited to bring these branding and design professionals to meet the residents of Littlerock, Sun Village and the Antelope Valley. At the end of the workshop attendees will have an opportunity for a brief one-on-one consultation with Holly and/or Tom about their own project, or that of their group or organization. Please be sure to bring your business cards/fliers and ideas!

The goal of this workshop is to engage with people about how to honor the legacy the Shaw Building (pictured) via sign making and community discussion. The event is free and open to the public, though RSVPs are encouraged. Please call 818.784.8669 and talk to Allegra.

Looking ahead, we’ll be hosting a Fundraising and Event Production workshop on Sunday May 15, from 2-4pm. Please stay tuned here for more details. We’ll also be back in the Antelope Valley Saturday May 21 for a free community performance. Details coming soon!
