Jinyoung Sung(Jin) is a set designer for entertainment including live performance, film, and immersive environments. Using structured spaces as her foundation, Jin forms her design aesthetic by focusing on decisive storytelling and exploring human senses and emotions.
Jin’s recent production designs include the film HIẾU – directed by Richard Van, which recently won the second prize at the Cinéfondation Selection of the Festival de Cannes. Other selected credits include; What Remains with Heidi Duckler Dance at The Wende Museum in LA, and ISLANDS/SEOM – an interactive AR installation work shown at Siggraph Asia, INDIECADE and Slamdance D.I.G Festival.
Jin holds an MFA in Scenic Design from California Institute of the Arts (Calarts) and a BFA in Industrial / UX.UI Design from Ewha University in South Korea. Jin is an International Designer, always enthusiastic to join creative projects. She’s now working as a freelancer for the live performance and entertainment industry in Los Angeles.
