neighborhood — one with lush green spaces\, clean air\, renewable energy infrastructure\, and dynamic mobility options for pedestrians\, bikers\, and public transit. \nThis historic revitalization project is funded by a $35 million grant from the California Strategic Growth Council (SGC)’s Transformative Climate Communities Program (TCC).  The South LA Eco Lab received the highest score of all submitted TCC proposals and the highest grant amount awarded. The project leverages an additional $24 million in funding to implement economic development through climate action in a 3.9-mile area in the heart of South Los Angeles. The South LA Eco-Lab builds off the work from the South LA Climate Commons\, funded under the Round 2 Transformative Climate Communities Planning Grant.
