Book Launch: Heidi Duckler Dance: 2016-2021 @ ICA LA

We’re excited to partner with the Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles on a launch event for our visual compilation book of the company’s works designed by James Robie. Heidi and James will discuss the creation of the book and sign books. Vinny Golia and Edgar Aguirre will perform a new work by Heidi Duckler created specifically for this event in the innovative architecture of the ICA LA lobby walls designed by wHY Architecture.

Vinny Golia, Musician/Composer
As a composer Vinny Golia fuses the rich heritage of Jazz, contemporary classical and world music into his own unique compositions. Also a bandleader, Golia has presented his music to concert audiences in Europe, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and the United States in ensembles varying dramatically in size and instrumentation.

Edgar Aguirre, Dancer
Aguirre is originally from Guatemala City, Guatemala. Aguirre is currently based in California where he has been working as a freelance dance artist and choreographer in San Francisco and Los Angeles. He is a guest artist with LA Contemporary Dance Company, Robert Moses’ Kin, Heidi Duckler Dance, Contra-Tiempo & David Herrera Performance Company.
