On Saturday August 16th, we gathered at the stunning Culver City residence of Clive and Elisabeth Wilkinson for Welcome Home, an extraordinary celebration of four decades of site-specific performance and visionary artistry. Surrounded by breathtaking architecture and an intimate community of supporters, guests were immersed in a night of dance, conversation, and connection.
The evening began with wine, music, and mingling, followed by a powerful conversation between esteemed architect Clive Wilkinson and Leadership Circle Co-Chair Thomas Small, offering insight into the intersection of space, design, and performance. Guests then experienced the premiere of a new work choreographed by our Artistic Director Raymond Ejiofor, performed by live dancers & musicians. Moving throughout the Wilkinson home, the audience became part of the unfolding narrative, engaging deeply with the architecture in true Heidi Duckler Dance fashion.
Following the performance, Raymond Ejiofor and Heidi Duckler shared remarks, reflecting on the company’s past, present, and expansive future. One that is only possible through the support of visionary donors and arts advocates like those in attendance.
