Residencies
Heidi Duckler Dance residency programs offer students semester-long dance education exploration, with hour-long class sessions that meet once or twice a week during the school day or after school. Led by our skilled Teaching Artists, these sessions guide students of all levels through movement exploration and dance creation, emphasizing social-emotional learning, confidence-building, spatial awareness, and creative expression. Residencies culminate in a final performance where participants showcase their talents in front of an audience of family, friends, and community members.
Assemblies
Heidi Duckler Dance school assemblies are designed to introduce elementary, middle, and high school students to site-specific dance. Each event lasts thirty to sixty minutes and includes a performance, a Q&A session, and interactive movement activities.
These assemblies are an excellent way to gauge student interest in HDD workshops or semester-long residencies. The program content promotes creativity, self-expression, and physical, social, and emotional health while inviting students to engage their imaginations and expand their perceptions of dance.

Workshops
Heidi Duckler Dance offers one to three-day workshops for all ages that are designed to be brought to schools, organizations, staff retreats, festivals and other venues. The workshop structure focuses on empowering participants to use one’s body, imagination, intention, and experience to strengthen their sense of self and connection with others. Workshops are facilitated by Heidi Duckler Dance Teaching Artists and are uniquely tailored to meet the needs of the group.
Field Trips
Heidi Duckler Dance field trips are designed to encourage students to explore a variety of ways to engage in the arts. These unique field trip experiences are scheduled around performance rehearsals, providing students with an insightful view into the process of site-specific dance making. In addition to the rehearsal viewing, students will participate in a dance workshop themselves as well as an art making activity designed around the themes of the performance.
