Back to Team

Liv Mai is a Japanese-American dancer, actor, and creative from Los Angeles. Since starting her full-time freelance career at age 15, she has danced with artists such as Jhené Aiko, Peaches, Billie Eilish, Remi Wolf, The Weeknd, Sia, RHYE, John Cale, St. Lucia, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and Dolly Parton to name a few. A storytelling enthusiast, she has been on television shows such as Euphoria, Modern Family, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Penny Dreadful, and General Hospital.

With a deep love for many styles of dance, Liv is trained in genres ranging from contemporary to salsa to hip hop to house to pole, burlesque, and beyond. Liv believes whole heartedly in the power of movement as self-expression and discovery, for the physical body, brain, and spirit! Seeing how dance has healed and shaped her life, Liv hopes to bring that energy to all her students.

In addition to dance, Liv loves directing/editing short films and drumming. Her love for narrative and music is evident in her teaching style, encouraging any emotion and natural connection to music in her class.

Liv Mai can currently be seen dancing at the historic Hollywood Roosevelt in Tracy Phillips’ acclaimed show ‘Down the Rabbit Hole’, as well as multiple film projects set to release in 2026.
