John Anson Ford Theatre, Los Angeles
Performed in response to architect Scott Johnson’s moveable sets, created especially for the John Anson Ford Amipitheater in Hollywood, Eye to Eyeproduced site-specific dance in a traditional performance venue. Heidid Duckler Dance Theatre invited three other dance groups to join them in responding to the same structures, according to their point of view, as part of the Los Angeles Philharmonic “Summer Nights” series. Duckler’s response to the sets, integrated dance, music, text, and graffiti artists while questioning humans’ attempts to overcome nature.
