Heidi Duckler Dance is proud to partner with a variety of esteemed local organizations that offer robust internship opportunities across Los Angeles. Our internship positions provide high school and undergraduate students with real work experience at a non-profit arts organization and one-on-one mentorship opportunities from department directors in Education, Marketing, Production, and Development.

Exploring the Arts

Exploring the Arts provides students who face structural barriers with paid work experiences and mentorship opportunities in the arts, that empower self-identity and help build valuable skills for the future.

Each year, we host two talented high school interns who participate in the Exploring the Arts Internship Program.

ICA L.A.

Agency of Assets is an initiative designed to propel local high school-aged youth into leadership roles in the arts through employment opportunities, sustained mentorship, and hands-on experience.

Inner-City Arts

Work of Art is a college and career exploration program designed to prepare teens with the skills, training, and real-world experience necessary to prepare them for life beyond high school. Eligible teens are high school sophomore and juniors that have an interest in exploring a career in the arts and the creative economy, and a desire for mentorship.

Seoul Institute of the Arts

Each Fall, HDD hosts interns from the Seoul Institute of the Arts through our partnership with Culture Hub and Intrax Global Internships. This Seoul, Korea based international exchange internship program invites undergraduate students opportunities to receive work-study credits in exchange for mentorship and collaboration. Roles and responsibilities vary depending on expertise. Students gain experience and learn about initiatives in marketing and production, and are granted the opportunity to witness performances and salons.

L.A. County Arts

The Los Angeles County Arts Internship Program provides internships for nonprofit performing, presenting, film, media, literary, municipal arts, social justice and social service nonprofit organizations as a companion program to the Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship Program, which provides internships to museums and visual arts organizations. The purpose of the County’s program is to provide undergraduate students with meaningful on-the-job training and experience working in nonprofit arts organizations.
