It’s the last day of National Arts Ed month, and we’re going to introduce you to one more Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre teaching artist!
Meet Mollie Wolf, a self-proclaimed mountain woman from Colorado. Mollie graduated Summa cum Laude from the University of Colorado Boulder with a BFA in Dance and a minor in Ethnic Studies. Mollie is a dancer and choreographer and loves baking and traveling.
As a teaching artist with Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre, Mollie leads site-specific dance workshops as part of a unique collaboration between us and Culturehub/SeoulArts. From a room in Los Angeles, Mollie and two dancers from CalArts provide instructions and feedback to university students in a studio in Seoul, South Korea.
Mollie orients her students to the architecture of their surroundings and guides them through exercises that link their movement and choreography to the structures around them. Mollie’s instruction and guidances inspires her students’ awareness of the people, places and objects around them, and provides them with an opportunity to see familiar surroundings in a different way.
We’re so happy to have Mollie at the helm of this new program, proving over and over again that great dance can happen anywhere at anytime. She’s a great addition to the Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre team!
